Meetings of the New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors

LOCATION: The meetings will be held at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Skeen Library, Tripp Conference Room 212, 801 Leroy Place, Socorro, NM

DATE AND TIME:

April 24, 2014

  • Professional Surveyors Committee (PSC) will convene at 10:00 a.m.
  • Professional Engineers Committee (PEC) will convene at 1:00 p.m.

April 25, 2014

  • The Professional Engineers and Surveyors Board will convene at 9:00 a.m.

If you are an individual with a disability who is in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter, or any other form of auxiliary aid or service to attend or participate in the hearing or meeting, please contact the Board's Acting Executive Director at (505) 476-4565 one week prior to the meeting or as soon as possible.

Public documents including the agenda and minutes can be provided in various accessible formats.

Please contact Perry Valdez, Acting Executive Director, if a summary or other type of accessible format is needed.

The Board may go into closed session during the meeting to discuss licensing and disciplinary matters as permitted by the Open Meetings Act.

The deadline for amendments to the Agenda will be ninety-six (96) hours prior to meeting.

The NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam and Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) Exam are transitioning to Computer Based Testing (CBT) beginning January 1, 2014

Registration opens on November 4, 2013 for the CBT Exams. The New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors is no longer accepting applications for the FE and FS exams.

Effective June 14, 2013 - The following are required to be in the Board office no later than thirty (30) calendar days prior to the next scheduled Committee meeting: ALL applications, letters of request to re-take the PE Exam, and ALL supporting documentation.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS, ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO THE APPLICATION AND/OR RETAKE OF THE PE EXAM MUST be received on the application deadline indicated below, by no later than 5 pm. Emails and faxes are not acceptable.

Please note: applications, supporting documentation (that complete a file) and letters of request to re-take the PE exam received after the thirty (30) calendar day deadline will be processed and presented at the next scheduled Committee meeting.
