How to File a Complaint Against an Engineer, Surveyor, or an Unlicensed Individual

Please Note:  The Board has no power to order restitution and does not establish or review costs for professional services.

• Call the Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors (505-476-4565) to verify that the case is within the Board’s jurisdiction.
• It is recommended to thoroughly read the ‘General Information’ document for a comprehensive understanding of the complaint process.
• Complete the complaint form describing the details of the situation.
• The complaint should contain sufficient evidence to indicate a clear violation of the Practice Act. Include with the complaint as much factual evidence as possible: plans, specifications, plats, maps, documents, contracts and names, addresses and phone numbers of potential witnesses.  

Any documents received with your complaint will not be returned.
