Board Office Closure Notice

The Board office will be CLOSED on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The office will reopen Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 8 a.m.

Engineer/Surveyor of Record Affidavit Notice

Effective July 1, 2017 – Pursuant to 61-23-21. (D.) and 61-23-27.9 (D.) of the 2017 New Mexico Engineering and Surveying Practice Act, it is required to file a signed and notarized affidavit designating the authorized company officer and professional engineer/professional surveyor for all business entities offering professional engineering and professional surveying services operating in the State of New Mexico.  The forms may be located on the following web pages:

Application and Supporting Documentation Submittal Deadlines

Effective June 14, 2013 – The following are required to be in the Board office no later than thirty (30) calendar days prior to the next scheduled Committee meeting: ALL applications, letters of request to re-take the PE Exam, and ALL supporting documentation.

ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO APPLICATIONS AND/OR RETAKE OF THE PE EXAM MUST be received on the application deadline indicated below, by no later than 5 pm, not postmarked. Emails and faxes are not acceptable. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE DEADLINES!

Please note: applications, supporting documentation (that complete a file), and letters of request to re-take the PE exam received after the thirty (30) calendar day deadline will be processed and presented at the next scheduled Committee meeting.
