What's New at the New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers & Professional SurveyorsAnnouncements PUBLIC NOTICE:A quorum of the Engineering and Surveying Board, along with the Executive Director, will be meeting with the Legislative Finance Committee for Sunset Review to answer any questions they may have for the board. There will be no actions taken by the board. The LFC tentative agenda is set for Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 2:30 pm with Subcommittee B in Room 311 - State Capitol - Santa Fe, New Mexico. Please check the LFC's website to get the final date and time as all times set have been set as tentative. LFC website: http://legis.state.nm.us/lcs/lfc/lfcdefault.aspx Change to the Penalty Renewal FormAt the June 11, 2010 Board meeting the Board approved an addition to the penalty renewal form; this updated penalty renewal form is effective as of August 6, 2010. The addition to the penalty renewal form is an "affidavit of practice". In order to view the addition to the penalty renewal form, the penalty renewal form may be accessed at: http://www.sblpes.state.nm.us/cpc.html Official October 2010 Exam DeadlinesJuly 23, 2010 is the application deadline to submit to the Board office. Verifications of License, Certifications, Exam Scores for other StatesAt the April 17, 2009 Board meeting, a verification fee was approved. Effective July 1, 2009 the verification fee is $25. Please remember to include, along with the verification form, a check or money order in the amount of $25 made out to: NMBLPEPS.
