Special Meeting of the Professional Engineering Committee of the Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors

February 12, 2010

The Professional Engineering Committee of the New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors will hold a special meeting on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Board office, 4001 Office Court Drive, Ste. 903, Santa Fe, NM.

The Committee may go into closed session when considering complaints and/or pending litigation. Copies of the agendas may be obtained by calling (505) 827-7561. Agendas will also be available approximately one week prior to the meeting on the Board's web site under "Board Information" at: www.sblpes.state.nm.us. If you are an individual with a disability who is in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter, or any other form of auxiliary aid or service to attend the meeting, please contact the Board office as soon as possible, but no less than one week prior to the meeting. Public documents, including the agenda and minutes, can be provided in various accessible formats.

Licensure Status Roster

Due to inordinate amount of work load, updates to the roster that depicts licensure status has been delayed. Staff is addressing this issue as soon as possible.

Those licensees who have submitted their license renewals and fee prior to December 31, 2009 have a license in Active status until December 31, 2011. This will be depicted on the updated website roster and pocket cards will soon follow.

Those licensees with an even license number who are renewing late and have submitted their penalty license renewal form along with the fee have a license in Active status until December 31, 2010, and pocket cards will soon follow.

Those licensees who are licensed with an odd license number and have not submitted their renewals by the December 31, 2009 deadline will be on EXPIRED status and should not practice until their license is renewed.

Verifications of License, Certifications, Exam Scores for other States

At the April 17, 2009 Board meeting, a verification fee was approved. Effective July 1, 2009 the verification fee is $25. Please remember to include, along with the verification form, a check or money order in the amount of $25 made out to: NMBLPEPS.

At the August 1, 2008 Board meeting, license renewal fees were increased by fifty (50) dollars. The increase is due to increasing economic costs for the agency. License renewal notices, for odd number license numbers, have been mailed out

Also, please note that this renewal season, licensees will not receive a renewal form in the mail. The Board will be mailing out postcard notifications (see below) with instructions for accessing the biennial renewal form on the SBLPES website.
